I drive a E87, 130M, and I have the same problem. So from I have read, is it possible this is the cause? Can I repair this some how my self (i know it has an explosive in it!!) is it a case of this device has become faulty and is not sending enough current (lowe resistance) to the airbag control module or is it common for the airbag control module to be come defective thus sending a BST code?Īny real world experience appreciated.a few supposedly specialists were flummoxed. Well anyway we proved the occupancy basket was detecting correctly as the live data showed when someone was sat on it, and when they got off it.hmm ok so not that.then we get some codes up.( I will dig the screen shot out shortly) but basically it says BST error. My friend had just got this tool and was keep to explore its abilities. OK so I get it hooked up to some diagnostic equipment (snapon) and see whats going on. No dramas, have had some rear seated passengers, maybe a wire has come loose under the chair. So a quick check about here and it points to the occupancy basket on the passenger seat.
When I put the key in I get a beep, and two red symbols appear, a seat and airbag symbol. I have an intriguing problem im struggling to get my head-logic around
